My name is Tanner Wood and this is my personal web site. I graduated from Western Carolina University with a B.S.B.A with a specialization in Computer Information Systems.
I like exotic coffee, loud bass, fast cars, vintage console games, exquisite beers, strange films, and nearly anything related to computers. I live in the USA in the state of North Carolina.
My daytime job is writing .net code for a Charlotte company called Mantissa Corporation. The main focus of my work is web interfaces and some windows based applications. I also get to work with automation software called Think N Do which is quite fun because it allows you to control things at the electrical level. You can do stuff like run conveyor belt, sound horns, illuminate beacons, etc. You could technically run a robot off of the software. I have often toyed with the idea of making a “cd switching” robot using this software. It wouldn’t take much. I think the hardest part would be picking up the blanks without scratching them.
I work hard during the week, and spend my weekends having fun. I am very blessed to have a good group of friends and a very supportive girlfriend. In general, life is quite good. I am always striving to learn and understand more until my curiousity runs out.
Anyways, enough about me. I hope you enjoy my site. I’ll always try to respond to your comments if you take time to leave them. This place isn’t updated THAT often but I genuinely intend to do as much on here as possible.
